Early Childhood

The curriculum is based on the Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences. Saint Catherine’s highlights the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and goes beyond these expectations. Prayer: The children discover God’s creation in the beauty of the world and the people He has created. They learn of God’s love for them and how special they are. They learn beginning prayers and how to bless themselves.

Free Play: The first part of each morning is set aside for free play. It is the natural way a child learns and develops.

Circle Time: The children gather on the rug to discuss the day’s activities.

Children in our Pre-School Program have a rest period during the school day.
